Are you aged 11 - 18? Do you enjoy singing? The Brighton Festival Youth Choir welcomes new members (Soprano, Alto and Treble voices) at any time throughout the year. Membership of the Youth Choir costs £45.00 per year, although financial circumstances will not be a bar to membership. The subscription covers all music costs and travel outside the Brighton area.

"What I really enjoy about BFYC is the wide range of music we do. I joined the choir when it was founded in January 2002 and since then we have sung many different types of music from Handel's Messiah to an a cappella arrangement of 'Lollipop'. We get up to a really high standard which is fun because then you can feel really proud of your performance. You can make loads of good friends as we spend a lot of time together, especially during rehearsals for concerts or on tour. We also do concerts with local groups such as the Brighton Youth Orchestra. The choir performs a lot, with the Brighton Festival Chorus and also on our own. Working with the Chorus is good because it gives you a chance to see what it is like being in a professional standard choir." Dominique Bull - Choir member

Rehearsals take place at the JMS Lecture Theatre, University of Sussex on Tuesdays from 6.30 - 8.30pm. There may be other rehearsals depending on concert commitments.
