Juliette initially trained as a violinist before being awarded a choral scholarship to read music at Cambridge. She went on to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama from which she graduated with distinction and the highest mark of her year.
Her operatic and concert career has led her to perform with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra , Philharmonia Orchestra, and London Festival Orchestra, and at many of Europe’s premier venues including the Berlin Philharmonie under Sir Simon Rattle, the Lincoln Center, New York, under Sir John Eliot Gardiner, South Bank, Barbican, Brighton Festival, Fairfield Halls and St John’s Smith Square. Her operatic roles include Tisbe Cenerentola, Madelon Fortunio, Dorabella Cosi, Olga Onegin, Annina Traviata and the Sorceress Dido. She created the role of ‘Flamingo Rock Star’ in the world premiere of the opera The Birds which toured the UK and Spain last year.
As a recitalist Juliette has sung in the Purcell Room, Adrian Boult Hall and appeared with Graham Johnson at the Klavier-Festival Ruhr in Germany. She can also be heard on the soundtracks to Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Star Wars- the Phantom Menace. She recently appeared with Hayley Westenra at Cadogan Hall in a charity concert for Global Angels – for whom she is an ambassador. She has spent the summer promoting her debut album with a series of outdoor prom concerts both in the sun and the rain!
Juliette also composes and produces as one half of the partnership Morgan Pochin. TV credits include the EMMY/BAFTA award-winning Kumars at No.42 and According to Bex (BBC1. She wrote and produced Katherine Jenkins’ No.1 album Premiere, which was nominated for a Classical Brit and has worked with artists as diverse as Julian Lloyd Webber (with whom she duets on her album) and Elton John.
Juliette’s debut album, Venezia is on general release on the Sony BMG label.
