Breadth of repertoire and consistently high standards are important features of the Brighton Festival Chorus. Recent highlights include the opening concert of the European Capital of Culture 2004 celebrations in Lille with the Orchestre National de Lille, and performances of Mendelssohn's Lobegesang with the City of London Sinfonia in Brighton and Birmingham, Berlioz's Damnation of Faust with the Orchestre National de Lorraine in the Brighton Festival and the world premiere of the concert version of Tavener's The Veil of the Temple at the 2004 BBC Promenade Concerts.
